on the radio and took me back ~10 years

what are some of your favorate One hit Wonders?

On VH1 the Macarana is considered the biggest one hit wonder of all time since was international and eve the Vice President and people were doing it.

Kelly Clarkson - she actually has a second single on the "pop" charts now, with a movie due out during the summer. Hardly a one hit wonder. She's probably making enough money of all this to not have to work again for the rest of her life, assuming she doesnt piss it all away on drugs.

Natalie Imbruglia - although she had a second cd out last year iirc it bombed, so technically she's a one hit wonder.

i could've sworn on some VH1 show they said Natalie Imbruglia was an Australian or New Zealand soap opera star... i dunno...

Isn't Natalie a model now? She looks pretty good.

How much is Kelly Clarkson making? Isn't her contract for $1 million?

Plus, her one hit, "Torn", was a cover. It was originally performed by a band called "Ednaswap" but it didn't go anywhere for them. They repackaged it with a hot Aussie actress, and magically it's a hit!! 😛

I know it happens all the time, I just find that interesting.

Mambo Number 5. That song was so damn horrible I'm amazed it got played as much as it did. Although the retrobution of never hearing from that jackass again somewhat comforts the tortured memories.

hahaha

that was a classic song

i am going through my old Mp3's
Soul Asylum- Runaway Train
Ini Kamoze - Hotsteppa

Gary Newman - Cars
Tommy Tutone - Jenny (867-5309)
Mongo Jerry - In the Summertime
Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting (loved that one when I was a kid, not so sure now though)
Bow Wow Wow - I Want Candy (far better than the relatively recent cover)
Peter Schilling - Major Tom
Big Country - Big Country (used to like that one when I was a dj... not sure why, ditto for: )
Thomas Dolby - She Blinded Me With Science
Green Jelly - Three Little Pigs

Oddly, there are more that I'm ashamed to admit... Plus, I'm ashamed to admit some of these.
But, I never ever ever in a million years liked Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
And, I *NEVER* did the macarena (whoever the artist is)

hhahahahahahah yea, every commercial had that song, and the song was drove me crazy, wanted to kill that guy

I think Natalie is pretty popular overseas... kinda like Kylie Minouge.

Many think she was a one hit wonder with Do the Locomotion, but she was still going strong overseas.

I'd personally have to say Vanilla Ice... ICE ICE BABY!!! damnit, now that songs going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day

Yup, and I still kinda like that song.... but you have to have only ONE hit to be a one hit wonder... Men without Hats also had: Pop goes the world
