One Guy w/27,000+ WUs for DSLR is killing us!

Bandai has contributed 27,254 WUs to DSLR and to the Race to 100,000. That is almost half of their total output.

Without this big gun we'd be kicking their arses. I wish we had a big gun off team that we could bring in to offset Bandai's 27,000+ WUs! :|

They have now increased their lead to almost 10,000 WUs. All we can do is do our best. Let's not give up. There is always hope.

The football game is over (Monday Night that is) so let's return to our other forums and see if we can find some more help.

 
Yeah, it's killing me to see this lead... It was at 4,500 or so a while ago, now closing in on 10,000 again... Hey networkman, what about that guy (your boss, wasn't it?) with 10,000+ WUs joining? 🙂 Oh, and does anyone know what happened with Steve (1.33 GHz T-Bird) and why he left the TeAm (with 889 WUs)?
 
We should just get rid of the non-continuous portion of the chart. If we count that, why don't we all leave the team and join after the race started? It's not about recruiting a guy with 70123970412 WUs, it's about crunching 100,000 WU. Good if he crunches a lot, but bring a lot of leftover food for the party isn't that cool. 🙁

I'm sure our...what is it now 190...new members have offset this guy. They are doing very well in their daily production numbers and we need to step it up. Lets give credit where it is due.

We'll take this to the end. We have acheived a goal beyond a simple race, we expanded the team and it will ensure steady gains against the teams ahead of us.

Let them have their tainted victory. I will always be a proud member of Team AnandTech no matter what. The new friends gained from this will be what I remember most.

I'm trying to recruit from some Low End Macs mailing lists as we speak. Basically, I'm trying to get anything with a PowerPC processor. Some of those people are still using 60MHz PPC 601s, but they've also got like 10 or 11 of them, so maybe we'll get a decent boost from this yet...

Besides, I think both teams haven proven themselves extremely well.
Memberships are up, daily production is up, and general interest surrounding the teams are up.
This race is win...win no matter the outcome!

Is it from places like this? Are those updated instantly or just daily? Thanks.

There are never stupid questions, the same cannot be said for answers. 😉

We are a stat-o-holic bunch. We have different members that do daily updates at various times of the day.

Some use propriatary software that they have written themselves while other use canned programs.

With all the interest due to the Race to 100,000, a lot of us are staying online a lot more than normal. I just happened to look up at the clock a little while ago and realized it had been 12 hours since I did my stats run. So I made a quick little report and posted it. 🙂
 
The guy with 10,700+ work units is my boss at work; believe me I'm trying to get him to join TA(he's not on any team right now) to help with the 100k race and more importantly to help us pass IBM. 🙂

A decent and honorable employee would be in there with a shiny apple and a fresh cup of coffee (on knees of course) letting him know quite truthfully how much of a privilige it is to be led by such an outstanding super-human being!! 😉
 
I looked at the stats graph this morning, and I what I saw gave me goose bumps. 🙂

Team Anandtech is kicking DSLR butt in overall production, and proves beyond a doubt we are a TEAM. We are close to eradicating Bandai's impact, and not by finding one person with a huge amount of WUs to join, but by steadily increasing production, by finding many new members to help the cause.

A LOT of TEAM members doing ALL they can to improve our production. The graph line for TA says it all! 😀

We are a TEAM, all pulling together, from .5 WU per day, to the big dogs! 😀
