One Ethernet plug, 2 computers no router allowed

I have received the conditions for the dorm i'll be staying at this fall semester.
The one rule that bothers me is the restriction on routers for the connexion. They even require the mac adress of the computer i'll be using on it.

i have some wireless equipment on both laptop and desktop computers, i could also add another network card on the desktop. But i really don't know where to start looking for this.

Anyone have a suggestion on which software i could use ? Be it wired or not (i'd prefer wired for the speed even though i never went near the cap they put on the connexion.

good. i cant imagine it would be wise to try to skirt their policies; which is what youre asking help to do. from what youve described it seems clear they dont want you to have more than one pc with network access. asking for help here to break such rules is generally frowned upon.
