have you ever stabbed a human? we're pretty squishy.
edit: for clarification purposes, no, i have not stabbed another human.
Actually yes I have: in gross anatomy class and during various surgeries I have been involved in. One of the things I most recall from open heart surgery is just how freaking tough the sternum is: like I said before: drywall.

Unless you happen to be slashing throats, or your stab victims are almost all children and are cornered in, say, a classroom with only one exit.

Also, here's a Chinese guy who killed 8 and wounded 5, with a knife. So yeah, mass stabbings have happened, and they have been mass-lethal. The situation isn't something you can dismiss with an internet hypothetical.

The devil's in the details... They don't go into how he did it. For all we know the first 8 were strategized (ie kill 2 people, wait for others to arrive, kill more, wait a bit more then go on a slash fest) or if the victims were elderly or very young.

I dunno I just read a lot of knife attacks and usually its a lot of minor injuries, a few serious injuries and rarely a death. In addition, I lived in england for a long time and honestly a stabbing death was even pretty rare there too, though stabbings were way more common than here. Seems like in china though, stabbings tend to have a slightly higher fatality rate

Many people would try to post stories like this to try to prove that "guns don't kill people, people kill people."

While that may be true, guns are definitely the cause of mass rampage killings - the same can't be said for knifes/cars/etc

Baseball bats are the #1 weapon used in violent crime. They injure and kill more people per year than guns. That's how they got to be #1.

Our forefathers should have defended this country with baseball bats, amirite?

Shots fired at memorial for Spring High student

A small group allegedly from the Hispanic gang Brown Pride entered the lobby of Spring Baptist Church around 8 p.m., sparking an altercation that officers at the service for security pushed outside, said Sgt. Milton Coker of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Broussard's family was gathered around the casket being loaded into a hearse as the fight continued and four to eight shots allegedly were fired.

Just an update.

I wonder if the accused will try to use Texas' Justified Use of Force for his defense. It appears that he may have been fighting off more than one person when he chose to pull/use his knife.

The school struggles with racial tension, saidcommunity members who spoke out Sunday.

No shit, that's everywhere in Houston...sad but everyone feels the need to prove themselves over whatever scraps of "food" they can get.

Mass murders with stabbing weapons are possible but unlikely. Bombs are another possibility for mass murder. As are poisons and chemicals. IIRC the worst school massacre (Bath) in American history involved bombs.
