One copy of XP Pro on 2 PCs ?

I know I read about this once here in the forums....but I can't find it now.

But I have a copy for a friend and he would like to install this on both his PCs.

Anybody have input or a link for me ?

Or maybe just a way to kill the activation ?

Call Microsoft and ask them. If you ask people here some will say it can be installed on multiple machines, others say it cannot. Microsoft would know best.

No problem....I was feeling a bit sorry for Bill....poor guy.

Well since input is good, then my input is as follows:

Buy another copy. People that do exactly what you are trying is the reason the protection was put there in the first place.


I smell something metallic, does anyone else??? It smells like a lock......
