Is it possible that one bad network card/network connection bring down whole network?

all the computers are connect through a switch.
no virus
 
by all means yes, in a 100 different ways:

mac table flood
arp hijack
broadcast storm
routing poisening
bad dhcp server
nab all the dhcp addresses
flood control plane of switch/router

the possibilites are endless.

muahhahahhaha.

oh to your question of one bad NIC? - yes...broadcast/multicast storm.
