What does it mean when a case has 2 external 3.5" bay and 1 internal 3.5" bay. Does that mean I can only have one HDD installed on this case?

If the external 3.5" bay is not used by your disk drive. You can use that for your HDD too. One 3.5" for one Hdd.

No, you can leave the covers on the external bays, or put the drives in the 5" bays (with brackets)

It basically means that if you don't have a Zip or LS120 drive in the external 3.5" then you could stick another hard drive in that bay. But that means then you can not put a 3.5" drive in which will be a problem if you want to have a zip drive. So having 1 large hard drive for the internal drive bay. Then you could partition it and it would be 2 or 3 hard drives. Which would be good.

Good Luck,

SKY.

External = "Zip/Floppy/HD", has faceplate to cover
Internal = "HD ONLY", not seen from the outside

Well you could put a ZIP drive on a internal 3.5" bay but it will be a pain in the ass to use. :)

hehehehe

Buy an Inwin Q500. It has;
5, 5.25" bays
1, external 3.5" (floppy)
and "5" 3.5" internal bays for Hard Drives! YES! 5!

In-win.com

It has GREAT Ventalation too! I just LOVE mine. Best case I've ever owned, and I've owned 20+
You can get them with a Power Man 300 watt PS for about 75 bux, but I put a 400 watter in it. ;)

Highly recommended by me...
