Once awesome bands that have since fallen from grace

I dunno, I liked the Foo Fighters' last album.

Radiohead's last album was pretty bad. Dunno if the band has gone to crap just yet, but the next album will show us.

Anyway, I'd say Days of the New. After everyone but that one uppity a-hole left the band it went bad real quick.

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to mention them. It might be getting to the point where they are almost forgotten, and they were one of the best pure rock bands ever.

Bush was always crap. Had to point that out.

Ok thanks.

Stone Temple Pilots. They're like a freaking pop band now. I haven't listened to them after their CD Shangri LaDida or whatever. Blech.

you have it backwards. the uppity a-hole stayed with the band and got new musicians and kept the name. the old band went on to get a new lead singer that sounded exactly like their old guy and called themselves Tantric and they make decent music.

Holy crap, I completely forgot about that band. Most of the members ended up starting another band didn't they? Can't remember the name of it for the life of me however 😕 My music memory has become hazy 😛

Edit: nm, I would have seen the answer if I'd read a bit farther down 🙂

U2?
Radiohead?
The Cure?
Foo Fighters?
Metalica?

All these bands are still very relevent to the music scene today.
Some of you need to get a grip. Just because they don't have
a #1 hit in the charts, as we speek doesn't mean they've fallen
from grace.

U2's last album was a huge success and Grammy Winner.

Radiohead are in the middle of a world tour and jus finished
a sold out everywhere they went US Tour.

Foo Fighters last album won a Grammy and their rescent tour
has been huge.

The Cure! ...they've just been putting out excellent albums for
over 20 years now, and will be headling the closing night of the
Coachella Music Festival in California this May - Considered the
best music festival in the world!!!

Metallica is universally hated?

Pipe. Crack. Down. Now.

They're hated by people who aren't and never were true fans. They're hated by people that think musicians are some sort of personal musical entertainment slave. They're hated by people that don't understand musicians are just normal people like you and I that do what they want; what feels good. They're hated by people that don't understand what Metallica is all about.

And what are the chances that you've downloaded an mp3 or 50 just to save it ?

100%, I'm not going to bullsh!t you.

Anthrax (anything after stomp442)
Megadeth (anything after countdown ... blah)
Sepultura (anything after Chaos AD)
Certainly Metallica ... Kill Em all, Ride The Lightning, And Justice for all, and Master of Puppets were all great. Then The black Album was OK ... load was pure garbage ... I haven't listened to anything since then

afvckingmen. Couldn't have put it better. I didn't feel like arguing with the people in this thread who think that a band sucks if it doesn't conform to their narrow musical tastes but since you've seen fit to do so I can't help but agree with you 😉

 for people who approach a bands new offering with an open mind and don't remain tied to what they've heard in the past. Stagnation sucks. If they'd never progressed from the MOP/AJFA days people would bitch about that too. Go figure.
