hey, Saying i love you, was one of the best balads EVAR.

great guitar duet, great voices and nice harmony.

they had some decent stuff and got quite popular very quickly. if they had stayed together longer, who knows where they could have gone.

Van Halen .. textbook definition

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to mention them. It might be getting to the point where they are almost forgotten, and they were one of the best pure rock bands ever.

Van Halen is one of my favorite bands, if not my absolute favorite. I'm also suprised it took so long for them to be mentioned, but it is sad to say they probably should be on this list. Although new rumors are surfacing that the band will be reuniting with Sammy Hagar for some new songs on a new Best Of album and a summer tour. The rumors are summarized here.

Stone Temple Pilots. They're like a freaking pop band now. I haven't listened to them after their CD Shangri LaDida or whatever. Blech.

yep!

They broke up a couple years back. Guy couldn't kick his habit, so the rest of the band kicked him out. They eventually broke up themselves aswell. Released a terrible compilation called: Thank You.

Beastie Boys

The RHCP are changing/expanding their music. It's no longer as hard/funky as the early stuff, but their music has definately grown better with age. Of course, I wouldn't mind some newer stuff that would sound darker like bssm or one hot minute. But would you really want a bunch of 40yr old men talking dirty like a bunch of perverts. I like the new music, one of the few gigs that is still worth listening to.

Oh, my vote goes to Primus. Saw them in concert during the holidays, & while they still sounded great(original lineup), they had no flow. From one hard song to the next. Their music use to be very different, but now their just a bunch of headbangers. Les is also seems to be suffering from some of that inflated ego syndrom axel rose had before everything fell apart. Makes me wonder how he got the original band together again in the first place.
