Unfortunately, no six-speed manual shifting will be offered.
love the exterior, but not feeling this interior center stack design

Propelled by the ubiquitous 2.0-liter TFSI engine, the S3 sedan with six-speed S-tronic should reach 60 miles per hour from a stop in 4.7 seconds. The unit here is tuned to produce 296 SAE horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque
Remember when the ubiquitous VW/Audi motor was a 1.8L turbo with like 180 horsepower. How times have changed.
Oh, and this > BMW 1 series.
I should have clarified. My comment was only about design. I'd rather drive the BMW any day of the week, and twice on Sundays, but damn it's ugly.a bmw 228i / 235i when they replace the 1 series next year willl have the n20/26 as base which realistically produces 265-270hp, and is RWD.
a transverse layout, haldex AWD s3 vs a 228i on a RWD longitudinal platform which will probably cost similar , i wouldn't be so quick to judge.

Hmm, it looks exactly like every other Audi... what a shock.

wth?! how can you compare a S3 to a WRX, at least in price point? WRX is a high 20's car. S3 will cost 39K+
now if you meant the WRX STi, then that's more comparable cost wise
I am 6'4" - this is not the car for me.
