I did not know that. I'm at work right now, so can't check, but am 99% sure it wasn't happening that way. I'll recheck it when I get home. Time to play detective tonight. Do you know of any standard "mistakes" made that might cause this?

If I continue to have problems with this, is there some sort of Boot disk I can make for the floppy that will then tell it to run the CD?

Dang! Can't check right now. On the Microsoft Knowledge Base you can find directions for producing the boot floppies needed to start the WinXP setup procedure in the manner you ask about. But it really works a ton better if you can boot from the CD. Maybe someone can link you up. I have to rush off to an appointment. Sorry. I'll check back later.

When you see "Boot from CD:" are you hittings the Enter key? I doubt your disk is bad.

Corv - thanks - trust me, as soon as I get home I'm going straight to work on this.

Slap - the issue is I don't see "Boot From CD". I have it as the primary boot drive (I think that's what it was called), but from the sound of it something is wrong since I don't get that prompt.

Thanks again to all of you for the help - it's much appreciated! After all my help needed posts I'm gonna be a senior member in no-time flat!
