I have a pc100 mainboard M747 with onboard video.I bought a new video card today and want to disable the onboard video but can not figure it out need help.please

I removed it for the device mang. plug it into the new card and I get no video at all?Do i need to unplug the old onboard video from the board?I canot find a jumper for the onboard video and nothing in the BIOS?PLEASE HELP

You can't take the "onboard video" off the motherboard, because it's "onboard". Check your mobo manual, or online to look for the jumper.

In the BIOS under Advanced CMOS Setup, there should be a Primary Display option. Set that to PCI. Then install the new card and hook up a monitor to it and it should fire up. Windows will still detect the onboard video but you can just disable it by checking the 'Disable in this hardware profile' box under its properties.
