onboard video not working

friend has a mach speed board socket 775 and on board video card isnt working. has 1 stick of 512mb ram in it and thats it and we get no video, just a orange screen. cpu fan spins, we tried resetting cmos but got the same results
 
Is it the first time you fire the comp up maybe? Is the integrated solution set as the first video device in the BIOS, or don't you have no picture for that either? Try a PCI video card and install the drivers in Windows...
