Onboard Sound Stopped working, help?

Yeah, anything with sound wont play... at all. iTunes refuses to start playing a song, streaming video has no sound (tried 5+ sites), Foobar gives me this error:

NFO (CORE) : opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "file://C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\NaS\Stillmatic (Disc 1)\1-11 Rule.m4a" (0)
ERROR (foo_output_std) : error creating DirectSound object

Anyone help? I've Tried:
-Restarting Computer
-Checked volume
-master mute aint on
-my headphones/speakers are plugged in

It worked fine 12hrs ago... never happened before...Thx!

try system restore to a point before it stopped working.

I would guess the drivers got hit.
Reinstall onboard sound drivers.
Thats only 5 minutes.
