onboard raid/ata 100 question..

On my mobo, I have the onboard highpoint raid/ata100 controller. When I o/c to 36 or higher pci my hdd test in pcmark is skipped. I figure it's the controller crappin out on me. My regular IDE slots support ata100 also, so do you think that switching to them will make a difference? I can put my cdrw and cd-rom on the secondary which wouldn't be so bad since I never burn disc to disc. I'm wondering tho, if it's just my WD hdd. I've read from others that they don't like anything higher than 37 pci, so this would still bring me from 1837 on my xp2000 to 1888. Thanks for any help.

can you disable the raid function of the controllers and use it just as a ata100 controller?

i know on some board, its done through either the bios or via a jumper on the motherboard itself

When installing win2k, I only set up the ATA100 features. I don't need the raid since I only have 1 drive at the moment.
