Meh, Same problem Happened to me today after running Memtest86 v3.4 I let it run 100% then i screwed around with the configuration and cache and locked up the application. Ended up rebooting and wam where did my NIC go? got a GA-965P-DS3 rev.3.3.
Flashed Bios to F13 tryed re-installing driver etc. Its not detected nor is it even shown in BIOS (I believe it was before!)
I'm about to do the most sanest thing of pulling the plug and letting it sit for a little while If worst comes to worse I'm going to purchase a PCI NIC =\
