On which side do you put your gun holster?

I think it's odd that some people have holsters on the side opposite of dominant hand. Wouldn't it take longer to draw and shoot?

I read somewhere (and I have no idea if this is true or not) that the Israli Military teaches a crossdraw technique (holster on the opposite side) and they holster their weapons without a round loaded, racking the slide as they bring the sidearm across their body.

So if you wanted to use that technique, that's one reason why. What it all boils down to is wherever it feels most comfortable for you is the best place.

It depends what i'm carrying that day.

If I'm wearing my Andrews shoulder setup - I'm right handed, gun goes in left armpit.
If I'm wearing one of my Sidearmor setup - I'm right handed, gun goes right side at 3 o'clock
If I'm wearing my Andrews IWB setup - I'm right handed, gun goes right side 5 o'clock
If I'm wearing my Andrews OWB crossdraw - I'm right handed, gun goes on left side at 9-10 o'clock

Wouldn't it also depend on what kind of holster you were wearing? If you have a shoulder holster it would be on the opposite side, but a belt holster could be either.

they sell a special concealed holster that goes in front of your penis.

you'd be suprise how fast you can pull it out. saw it at a gun show, and you can't even tell the person is carrying.
