Local to the Atlanta area I like Sweetwater ESB
Nationwide I go for the Red Hook ESB

This time of year must have is Sweetwater Festive Ale (8.9% with a hint of spice)

Newcastle. That's all I've drank in about 5 years. I buy it by the pallet real cheap from distributor because supermarket is double.

Someday, when i have time, or ever get tired of newcastle...I'd like to home brew..

Stealhead is another ale I like but it's very hard to find.

Have a pretty limited choice here, but so far Stella Artois is the best I've had. Heineken, Sleemans Honey Brown, Moosehead, and Rickards Red are others I like a lot.

ummmm, Moosehead?

I guess i'm one of the few who doesn't really care for guinness. I'm all for Heineken, if your ever in Taiwan, try taiwan beer. I know it might sound really ghetto buts its not bad. It's dirt cheap in Taiwan but rather expensive in chinese supermarkets in California.

Stella Artois or Sleeman Cream Ale.

I'm disgusted by some of the responses in this thread.

?????

Well we are mostly American men responding in this thread.

I never heard of your 2 choices,

I like Fosters too,

I have tried about 100 different bears, and liked prob 80% of them,

I am not a "dark" beer fan.

Holmes & Watson
450 Broadway, Troy, N.Y. (518)273-8526
Located in downtown Troy (but don`t let that keep you away), Holmes and Watson under went a change of management last year but otherwise has stayed the same great bar. It offers a tremendous selection of brews, chosen by people who know and love beer.
34 beers on tap (largest in the capital region) and nearly 200 bottled varieties as well. Also offer a beer "tour" similar to that at Mahar`s.
In addition to the beer, Holmes & Watson offer a menu (typical pub variety, nothing to get too excited about but not bad) and an outdoor deck.
Open Monday thru Saturdays from 11AM, Sundays from 5PM
