on linux again

Copy the thunderbird config directory over to Linux. It'll probably go in your home directory under .thunderbird or something.
 
Did that and put my profile folder in there (has name 7ggv0so1.default) and changed profiles.ini to point to that profile.

Folders show up but no mail or email accounts.
 
There should be some folders or files under the thunderbird directory that contain your mail. Find them, and make sure they moved over. Maybe you have to create the accounts again and point them to the file/folder mentioned previously. I can't remember. I use IMAP. 😛
