on linux again

I tinkered with Mandrake two years ago and now installed Fedora on my system (dual boot with xp) last night. Recognized all my hardware fine and everything but I have one question.

Anybody know how to transfer my thunderbird mail/settings from windows to linux? I found this link on google http://texturizer.net/thunderbird/share_mail.html but I think the site is down.

Copy the thunderbird config directory over to Linux. It'll probably go in your home directory under .thunderbird or something.

Did that and put my profile folder in there (has name 7ggv0so1.default) and changed profiles.ini to point to that profile.

Folders show up but no mail or email accounts.

There should be some folders or files under the thunderbird directory that contain your mail. Find them, and make sure they moved over. Maybe you have to create the accounts again and point them to the file/folder mentioned previously. I can't remember. I use IMAP.
