To those people that say that Gamergate is being misrepresented when we see the horrible Twitter trolls that harass the targets... because they're only a small minority and don't represent GG as a whole...

Why don't we make a bot that crawls the main GG discussion boards and sees what most comments are about? Take 1000 random comments and see what their overall message is, then use that to form a conclusion about the GG community.

Win condition for GG people is if most of the comments that are sifted through are not supporting harassment or batshit crazy.

We could see from this which side is right. If most GGers are indeed supporting this, then GG as a whole is supportive of this bc most of the people that make it up support it.

Currently the “subject” is nothing more than a polarized and political hate fest. A war between two hateful groups. There is absolutely zero value to the subject as it is today.

There were two studies done on this topic, both reached the same conclusion. One had to stop because of threats targeting his family and wife.

I can understand why you would have little interest in trying to figure out the nature of brain defective gamer gate thinking. The issue is meaningless, but the psychology is interesting,especially in how it intersects with objective press reporting. There is an evil instinct to blame the messenger fortified by indifference.

When a riot breaks out after a sporting event, the crowd might still contain some nice people, but they are both powerless and meaningless in the present context of a mob running amok.

This subject is of a riot on social media. If #gamergate once provided some utility or useful purpose - that has long since past the point of no return amidst a sea of bigoted !@#$s on both "sides". The patient has cancer, you can keep your blood pressure meds.
