Hey, N2Deep, what's the OfficeDepot SKU for this phone? How about getting staples to pricematch...... you know what I mean, right?

Arrrggghhh.... I'm starting to get a bit heated here....

How come everyone's getting my phone for free, and I'm getting screwed?

I just tried again, with a 2nd CSR, and was agin told that the coupon expired 1/31.

Anyone have suggestions for a $20 item to top it up to the $100 mark?

Cheers,
-Dave

So how confident is everyone that these are two separate rebates?
Manufacturer and staples....

Because I read on both that there is a limit of 3/per household on each rebate
Which means buy 3 and sell the extras.

BenRosey,

I am as confident as I can be without actually having the rebate money in my hands. I have called Staples rebate center and I told them that I didn't want to send the original UPC to them because there was a Manufacturer's rebate that required it. They said that it was no problem to send them a photocopy.

The only unknown left is something on the VTech rebate. It says that the invoice must clearly show the price of the phone. In fact, I have to circle it. Staple's online invoices do not have prices: they are more of a packing slip.

This is all the information I have.

Why bothers using coupon?

PM it with OD to get $59.95.
And use the two coupons to get the same result.

But I am doubtful that staples rebate processor would honor photocopies of
UPC and receipts (although sometimes staples include 3 copies of receipt: red, yellow, and white).

You better verify first with the staples rebate processor (they seem to be the same one that process maxtor drive + ata-100 combo rebate)
if they take photocopy of UPC sticker. Because otherwise, you end up paying $30+tax for it instead of just a few bucks for tax.

The other option was mentioned a page before: to buy directly from OD with coupon. That'd be 15+tax after vtech rebate.

I'd go with the latter.

Thanks netants for the great deal, and Thanks Alesmith for the Coupon info. The coupon code from jumpondeals works via telephone (and only works via telephone).

Wanna bet ddcspeed. Anyone remember the Vtech phone for 10 bucks at Onvia? I sent in the $20.00 MIR and they sent me a check for $20.00. They had the receipt in front of them and still paid me 10.00 to take their phone.

On staples website: $30 MIR on V Tech VT1962 Cordless Phone
MIR!!! So, I think there's just one rebate.
If you want to OD, there's a refer link for 15/50 in the techbargains, os you can order it online for the final: 60-15-30=15
I saw this on Kmart ad for $69.99 today. :)

i called the staples rebate center, they told me that the staples rebate & the vtech rebate are the same thing...you are probably only going to get 1 $30 rebate

you can still get the phone for around $17...which imho makes it a warm-to-mildly-hot deal

go to here and click on the office depot $15 off $50 coupon

at office depot add item #410061 to your cart & check out...that's it...since you'll be over $50 shipping is free...or you can choose in-store pickup like i did and have it in a few hours

here's my checkout info:

410061 VTech 1962 900MHz Digital Cordless Answering System $59.99
SubTotal: $59.99
Tax: $2.25
Delivery: $0.00
Misc.: -$15.00
Total: $47.24

-$30 MIR

total = $17.24

The rebate is to a 52900 box #. Still waiting for two rebates from this address. Good deal on the phone but I'll pass.

I tried the Office Depot 15 dollors off website but it didn't work after I checked out.

The price was still 64 dollar something (59+tax) and there was no 15 dollars off?
How do you make it to work? I clicked on the website and a new window poped up and said I will be granted for 15 dollars off after I checked out? How did you get it?

sfryo:

I found out the hard way you can only use the $15 off $50 once.
Did you use it before?
