I heard that staples take copy of UPC code, so you send the original one to MIR and the copy to staples

Smitty094,

Are you sure? Aren't Staples rebates normally immediate and on the spot? Is this MIR? Thanks.

Can't get both rebates. Staples rebate clearly states: Please attach the following information to the mailable form on Step 7: Original UPC Code

You'll need an original UPC for both rebates - won't happen. Still, deal for $25?

The staple means the Manufacturer mail in rebate as a rebate i believe, if staples gives a rebate that should have been an instant rebate, be sure before placing an order guys

Hello all,

I just got of the phone with the Staples rebate center (888)856-9210. They said that they will accept a photocopy of the UPC symbol. They recommended that I keep a copy of it as well.

These do appear to be two different rebates:

Manufacturer

Staples

In terms of the coupon, I have not yet had a chance to look for it. Updates will follow hopefully.

Even without the coupon, this is still a good deal. With the coupon, it is smoking.

I have a coupon code that says it expires at the end of this month. PM me if you want it.

I am going to try this deal. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hello all,

I just called and ordered the phone. The total before rebates (after coupon) was $59.38. With two rebates, they just paid me 62 cents to get this phone. With one rebate, it cost me $29.38.

I'm willing to take the risk even that the guy at the Staples rebate center was wrong. Thanks netants.

Last post on this topic. Promise.

Apparently the code is not working if you try to buy this over the website. I called the (800)3STAPLES number and had no trouble with the CSR.

Hope this helps.

This is what I did to get a good deal on this phone. Goto OD B&M and buy it for 59.99(on sale) and use the 15 off 50 B&M coupon. Now mail in the $30 rebate and you got the phone for $15+tax. L8r.

Awesome.

You were correct, the web site would not take the coupon code, but the CSR didn't have a problem at all.

Total after coupon, tax, etc.: $59.10
- 30 Staples Rebate
- 30 MIR
= +0.90

Not bad!

Thanks!

Darn, the Staples code no longer works. It was the one we've all seen, $25 off of $75, expiring 2/28/01 (@ JumpOnDeals).

But, I just called and tried it, and the CSA said it now comes up as having expired 1/31/01.

Thank you netants & Garet Jax. The deal is going down good! Got a great CSR, she was located in Novia Scotia, very jealous of the warm weather down here in SoCal. Can't blame her, it's a great day today.

Again thanks.
