Found a 500 VA APC Back-UPS at my local OD for $22.49!! My connections there checked, and they say it's nationwide, but scattered stock at stores around the country (very limited supply, for those of you in NY, I'm told Times Square possibly had a few left.) Jump on this, if you can find it. The original price was like $130-150. Some details:

OD Sku: 358-615
UPC: 731304009832
Model #: BK500MC
Additionally: This is the box that says 19 minutes runtime on it, NOT the newer one with 22 min. runtime. The newer one is still full price. They seem to get mixed together on the shelf.

Oh yeah, its B&M only, already checked the web, it's not there.

I bet that UPSs aren't big movers on eBay. Sellers usually charge (and often overcharge) for shipping, and UPSs are rather heavy. I think I'd rather buy a factory-fresh unit from a B&M than one being auctioned.

I am 30 seconds away from OD. I better go now.

Update: The only 500 VA they have are the 20 Seconds & 22 Seconds which are regular price.

Now i remember why this sounds so familiar....this was the same ups that was free after coupon and rebate at staples. I think this sold for 49 with 10 coupon and 40 rebate (several months ago).

Edit- need4spd...you're right..it was the 350.

After reading this post, I immediately rushed to my nearest OD with my friend and SNAGGED their WHOLE INVENTORY! THAT'S RIGHT...THEIR WHOLE INVENTORY!

They at first had 4 of them. Then went I got in and checked out that it wasn't the brick one and it was really for $22.49, I immediately told them I want their whole inventory! So I got 3 which came to $72.87.
BUT, OD sent me a $15 off $50, so it came down to $57.87. Life is GOOD...

C..e...l...e...b..r...a...t..e good times come on...dun dan dun dun dan dun dun dun.

:D:D:D:D

P.S. For those of you going to the San Leandro OD on Davis St, don't even bother. Cause I got all of them..or at least the rest of them.

They're not the easiest item to sell, but I had no problem selling my APC BK-300C on Ebay...I got my Buy It Now price and $12.00 shipping (it was around 16 pounds). I do agree that many sellers overcharge on shipping.

None in the three South Orlando Stores. One of the three shows 3 but after a physical check there was none:(

First of all, let me say Mikebb you rock!

I went to OD to look for one but I also was looking for a ATI Furry Pro AGP 32MB (the one OD sold out last December) and even more since I couldn't grab a decent video card yesterday from newegg.com cause by the time I check out my shopping cart was empty, 2 times in a row! Don't you hate when that happens....so anyway to make it short...
OD had one furry pro 32MB left for $70-$30MIR=$40 and to use my $20 off $100 I got last night I added the APC UPS 500MC for $22.49!

Here are some info on this UPS:

http://www.apcc.com/resource/includ...u=BK500MC&language=en&LOCAL.APCCountryCode=US

http://www.apstech.com/prod/item.cfm?cat=30&item=1120

http://www.shentech.com/apcbac500par.html

http://www.stonepc.com/ups-500.html

The fact is that even if you call OD they'll tell you that they're out of stock. You got to go there and look for it, mine wasn't even where the other one were...

Finally, OD in Redwood City and East Palo Alto are OOS....save the trip.

Good luck to all...

Wasn't that the APC 350 model?

Wow.

Now there's a suprise.

Remember, if price == >$100, is an "interesting" item, and you call, don't expect to find it there unless the OD employees are absolutely clueless.

There is a stack of 20 of these at the SF OD with a sign saying they are on clearance for $22.49. The sign says the regular price was $74.
