On board sound for A7N8X- Deluxe Rev 2.00

Is there anything that I have to hook on to the motherboard in order to get onboard sound audio?

I have enabled the onboard sound in Bios,
and I just have to hook up my one and only green cable from my 2.1 Altec Lansing Speakers.
Anyhelp?

Or should I go to the Motherboard official thread to ask about this issue?

If the onboard audio isn't working, check that there are jumper caps on the FPAUDIO1 header as shown in this closeup from the manual: picture If the speakers just aren't working properly in Windows, try running the nVidia Speaker Configuration Wizard from the nVidia audio applet in Control Panel.

thanks.
I see no jumpers on my FPAudio1

however I have this unplug front panel audio that has like Ear L , Ear R, Mic, VCC, GND
should that only affect the front panel?

normally I put my speaker jack at the back of the panel.
The green one.

The FPAUDIO1 header needs either the jumper caps as depicted, or else a front-panel-audio cable plugged into it, or you won't get any sound from the rear jacks. I'm not sure if you meant that you do or don't have a cable plugged into it right now, but if it's just unplugged, plug it back in. Or put the jumpers back on.

ok, I'll do that,
basically what I meant was, The jumpers aren't on, neither are the front panel cables.

Ok, lets assume I plug on the front panel cables,
will the rear jacks work also?

Yeah, what will happen is the rear jacks will get the audio and mic action, until you plug something into the front ports. Then the audio gets re-routed to the front ports until you unplug from them. So it's one or the other.
