to anyone who has ordered a dell via online and had it shipped, how long did it remain "in production", and once out of that, how long did it take once it was shipped out?

It really depends on how irritated the owner is who's cursing in Yiddish to the Mexican guys in the kitchen. Oh, wait a minute, I thought you were talking about your deli order.

I've ordered two Dells over the years. One over the phone, one over the internet. In BOTH cases, I had them delivered in less than a week.

I order from Dell frequently -- often multiple times per week. There's no reliable way to predict how long it will take... sometimes it takes a day or two to manufacture, and sometimes it takes weeks. Component shortages can extend the time from days to weeks, easily. Generally, the provided estimated ship date is accurate, or within a day of when it'll ship (though there are exceptions).
