DOWN WITH HOT DOGS!!! I WANT PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, is this considered crapping? Maybe now LucidGuy knows what it's like...

<< Wow, you all stooped to a worse level than Lucid, congrats. >>

Maybe so, but when you have to deal with his crapping in threads where people are asking technical questions it gets kind of old. Sometimes you just have to go to someone's level and beat them over the head using their own tactics. He's kind of like a submarine, you can't fight it on the surface, you have to use depth charges.

<< Why is it that we park in a driveway, and drive in a parkway? >>

Wht is a hemorrhoid a hemorrhoid and an asteroid an asteroid, when a asteroid comes through the hemisphere and an hemorrhoid is on your ass.

Speaking of hemorrhoids where is lucid???

Pro is the opposite of Con, so why isn't progress the opposite of congress and
constitution the opposite of ...oops?

Hey SNAIL! What, you don't like us CRAPPING in your thread? Oh well. BTW, the Cobra SVT-R cannot out handle a Z06 'Vette. The Vette has a much lower cernter of gravity and has a faster engine. Also, the Camero SS can out pace and out beat the Cobra SVT-R. If you really want to see a great car, check out the Callaway C-12 here. YOU WILL fall in love with it. Also, check out the C-8. That car will beat any Ford any day of the week/month/year.

Oh yeah, were is my pizza man?!?! I am hungry! Hans, you could share that with me ya know. :| 🙂

I'll admit Ford has dropped the ball with from the factory performance. However call me when you want to bring that 'vette by and I'll pull my built Mustang out of the garage. I haven't finished putting the interior back in, but I can still hand that 'vette it's ass with a blue oval. 🙂

Psycho: YG-EMAIL.

Also, the Z06 can do 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. Top speed of 170, and can do the quarter in about less than 10sec I believe. Can your little Mustang beat that? 🙂 <--Shadow giving Psycho sh!t again! 😀

EDIT: Added paragraph to post.

Shadow YGM.

FWIW don't believe road and track too much. It takes more than 400hp to pull under 10 seconds, even if the car is as light as the vette. I gave you the low down on mine too, never said it was stock, nor did I say I could beat it in anything other that a straight line. 😉 😀

I think people have reported NUMEROUS cases where you use products and it results in information sharing.

1) Credit Cards

2) Super market discount cards

3) Your cellular phone

4) Many online purchases you make

I don't see thread after thread about people being up in arms about this... why not? This is certainly providing much more of your personal information that the windows activation is going to provide.

If you don't agree with MS activation than don't use WinXP.

I want to repeat, noone is forcing you to use WinXP.

As to people who bought XP and don't think they should have to provide information to MS to "use" a product that they "bought", you have purchased a license to use the software. You don't actually own anything.... if MS wants you to register it, tough noogies.

But my games only run under Windows! The game manufacturers are FORCING me to use Windows!!!!!!! It's a conspiracy!

Careful Hans, you're straying on-topic.

It doesn't matter, no matter what Microsoft does, they will find a reason to complain and bitch about Microsoft and Windows.

Psycho: What year is it? If it is anything earlier than 1988, it is a heavy weight and it WILL need all that horsepower just to keep up with the vette.

Hans: Come on. You need to stay off topic! We really NEED to trash this thread even more.

Come on. No one has answered my questions above. Do you think MJ should come back, or stay retired?

hehe, sorry guys 🙂

MJ needs to come back and make some more money. If I were him, I'd milk all I could off of the NBA. And then I'd go buy a few pr0nstars with all of the money I had.

I'd just like to take a moment and circumvent psych's little theory that everyone is out to get microsoft. Here is my post to give praise on Win2K. Win2K is the only MS OS I use at home and as such it does a damn good job! My home PC has been up for 50+ days with a game running everyday and winamp running 24/7. The only other massive difference aside from stability in my 2K machine is the security. So to put it all in perspective, my Win2K box is almost exactly the same as my old Win9x box except it is Stable, Semi-Secure (Read: Runs outlook), and loves RAM. Ever since Win2K came out I have been very content with Microsoft.

Now to address some other comments:

HansXP,
"But my games only run under Windows! The game manufacturers are FORCING me to use Windows!!!!!!! It's a conspiracy!"
Really seemed like sarcasm... but then I realized it was true. So which is it? Sarcasm, Truth, or the third: Being sarcastic because the truth is pretty sad. While they arn't forcing you... it is pretty hard to run most games w/out running windows. If you use your computer 90% as a gaming machine... what choice do you have? Please, I'd love to hear about your alternate secret OS that runs all windows games without needing to wait weeks for ports or delayed support.

gunf1ghter,
"1) Credit Cards"
I can pay in cash as an alternative. Credit Cards arn't the ONLY way. But if I want to run most applications then windows is the ONLY way.

"2) Super market discount cards"
I don't use discount cards...

"3) Your cellular phone"
I don't have a cellular phone...

"4) Many online purchases you make"
Most online purchases ask for information that verifies who you are and also where the purchase is being shipped to. It makes sense that if I buy something that I put down where I want it shipped to.... unless I didn't actually want to recieve what I purchased.

"If you don't agree with MS activation than don't use WinXP."
I won't!

"I want to repeat, noone is forcing you to use WinXP."
I won't! but just because I do not plan on using it doesn't mean I can't discuss its flaws or warn others. Telling people not to buy it is so silly, you actually think people don't realize that already? No one has said "WinXP sucks... but I'm buying it anyway!" or at least not that I've seen.

Well they also think that all software should be freely supported by programmers who apparently don't have to make ends meet and or make an income to support themselves and our families.

I think that there was a name for such altruistic ventures.... communism ??

😛 😛 😛

Skace,

how refreshing, someone who wants to intelligently discuss the issue.

actually if you refer to previous threads one of the biggest beef that people seemed to have is that they would HAVE to buy XP for continued MS compatibility and that they would HAVE to use the registration.

You know, the main reason why many gaming companies build games on the W32 platform is because most of the PC's run some varient of Windows.

I'm sorry to go back on topic, so now I'm back off.

I don't think MJ should come back. He went out in style, and I think he will just get his ass worked by the other players in the NBA. 🙂

<< What year is it? If it is anything earlier than 1988, it is a heavy weight and it WILL need all that horsepower just to keep up with the vette. >>

FYI the '87 is exactly the same as the '88 except for Mustangs in the state of California. Those came with a Mass Air Sensor. Weight was the same. Weight did not vary much from 1979 until the body style changed in 1994. Then they did become somewhat heavier.

Describe heavy weight because the Camaro, which BTW in some languages means carp 😀, weighs quite a bit more than a Mustang. The mid-eightes vettes were what I used to prey on constantly back in the late 80's and early 90's when I was younger. At that time the car was stock with nothing more than a 3.55 rear end gear and I could beat them to the stripe at the strip. FWIW mine is an '89.

As far as durability goes I put around 220,000 miles on the original motor before I yanked it out last fall. I never had any problems other than an alternator, broken mainshaft in the tranny (that was entirely my fault and they a notorious weak spot in the Fox-bodied stangs), and a few clutches (well duh...look at the way I drove it). I was actually surprised when I tore the motor down. I could have just re-ringed it. There was absolutely no wear on the cylinder walls. How many vettes have you seen with 220,000 miles on the original motor that look that clean inside???

"I wanna be like Mike"

I think he'd be better staying off now, rather getting his butt kicked by the youngsters, there won't be any glory for him this time around.

He should just stick to selling his perfume!

Exccccuuuusssseeee me gunf1ghter and Skace, I think you've found the wrong thread to post in! In case you haven't noticed, this is a thread devoted entirely to any topics besides "On Activation vs. Registration in Win XP", so please, take your useless comments elsewhere! 😉

Anybody like the new subaru wrx's? That's a sweet car! I hope to get one in blue in the near future! 🙂

Quite a few actually. In the state of Cali, there are alot of Stingray's here that have a lot of miles on them and still look clean.
