Yeah nothing like how I do miss going to class and comutting like 10 min to campus, plus not doing crap in class , and having two days off because of the schedule. Work is nicer but just boring and mundane especially at some big companies. It's the smaller ones where they don't mind you doing things how you want that are more fun sometimes.

Same here. Got lots of money now, and I know school was living on borrowed time, and I'm no fan of cramming for tests and papers but.....at least you weren't doing the same damn thing all day, every day, in the same place. And there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe thats why I'm so miserable. I dont see school like that. No light, not learning much, often does feel like the same shit every day. Retardedly expensive, no guarantee of a job, just seems like a huge waste of my time. Only reason I'm here is to burn up my GI Bill before it expires, and also cuz I cant get a job.

Well at least your gi bill is paying for it. When I saw the light at the end of the tunnel, after finishing school I work just to pay off loans. No extra money really to buy things I want. Well, not really true because I can afford everything I normally get but still you get the point.

Decent pay, good amount of holidays, and doing fun stuff in the process - I voted 2 only because I wish I got paid slightly more. 😀

No I made 59 grand at that factory job and I hated life.
BUT, would rather be working and miserable than in school and miserable.

Sounds (and I'm pretty sure I saw) like you are a full-time student, and ya, full-time student studying sucks. Looking back, I fucking hated my undergrad. Cram, assignment, cram, cram, assignment, cram, attend tutorial for 2 hours when I just want to go home, lab, cram, lab, exam, pray I didn't fail repeat 8 times over 4 years. I remember little bits here and there. Most everything else is a write-off.

Grad school, I loved because it was part-time and only 2 courses per semester. My schedule was full as hell with full-time work (plus a lot of vacation days used), but it was enjoyable, I had time to take stuff in, and had the chance to work with a professor on a research project I wanted to do. Because I did engineering in undergrad, 90% of my courses were chosen for me.

Also, I never thought farther than 1 test/exam ahead and never even thought a semester ahead -- probably why I was jobless for a year after graduating. It was my coping mechanism for having to cram bullshit for 4 years.
