On a normal day, how much *ACTUAL* work do you really do?

Not as much as I should be. But I'd imagine that this is probably the effect of any addiction, drugs or ATOT. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: ATOT is like heroin - on hit and you're addicted to life.

Probably about 3 hours out of 7.5. 😀

I know that sounds pretty bad but I only get paid $6 an hour and I have finished 3 years of college. My low pay is not enough to get me motivated, although I do enjoy what I do. My job now is just experience towards my major.

Me too Steve!

In the 8 hours that I'm here each day, I'd say an average of 45 minutes to an hour of actual honest-goodness work, and that might be pushing it 🙂 There are days where I'll do more, but that's about average over the past year.

I hate this job because of how boring and aimless it is, but I'm getting paid pretty well to do jack 🙂 As long as they'll have me I guess I'll stay. Since I can't seem to find anything else out there in the IT field right now that is better. At least for a high school grad with no college education.

Bob Slydell: If you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah.
Bob Slydell: Great.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door--that way Lumberg can't see me, heh--after that I sorta space out for an hour.
Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out?
Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

Bob: Looks like you've been missing quite a bit of work lately.
Peter Gibbons: Well, I wouldn't say I've been MISSING it, Bob.

i do.. roughly 35 hours of real hard work a week out of 45-50.... but... some weeks i work a lot more then that..

Well, today I have researched what new computer parts I am going to get, written about 20 emails (non work related), and read about every articled linked on Fark.

All for a nice $20 an hour.

Yep. I don't have any work because everything is fixed.

*KNOCKS ON DESK*

Don't brag too much guys. Any company that intends on staying around for more than a year or two is working hard at justifying any and all jobs. If you cannot document your activity you are on the list to be eliminated whether you know it or not.

I do between 5 and 10 hours. The government gets 38% of it. It just doesn't cut it.
I need a real job. Anyone want to hire an IT tech? 😛

well let's see, today so far i've been here since 8 and in that time i have:
listened to about 4 hours of stephin king's bag of bones on tape
read most of page2 on espn.com
played collapse for 2 hours or so on iwon.games.com
and sorted through some patient notes for a good 20 minutes.

7 hours on the clock - 20 minutes work

I'd tell you details about my job but some self-righteous old farts will crawl out of the woodwork and berate me because I didn't have to start as a bottom feeder like they did.
