Quick Q:

I'm about to boot up my 8k7a and right now the dipswitches are set for the default. The manual calls this configuration auto. Do I need to change the multiplier? If so for my 1.33 266fsb tbird I set it to 10 right?

Please help me out!

You can leave it to auto, the switches are only needed for using a non-default multiplier on a unlocked cpu.

Hi, you might have to set the multiplier dip switches if the board does not post. I just recently built an 8K7A+ and by leaving the dips at default (Auto) the board would not post. All I got were fans running, FF code and no video. I changed the dips to 10X as I have a 1.33GHz cpu and the board posted fine. The cpu has a factory unlocked multiplier. I am currently running at 1.5GHz (150 FSB). Hope this helps.

All you have to do is set the FSB jumper to 133MHz. The rest should auto detect just fine.
