Just upgraded to dreamweaver 8 this evening, my god I'm impressed :Q

F*cker has been optimized incredibly, thing loads 10924102x faster, full CSS functionality including the ability to actually display layers where they should be, enhanced extensions, added tag and colour coding support for new functions for certain languages etc etc

Has to be the first time I'm actually impressed by macromedias updates, should make my working life a hell of a lot easier :D

Anyways, nothing further.

Sounds like it's better than the Wordpad 5 I've been using :)

(But I only spend about 15 minutes a week on Perl, PHP, HTML, mostly just fixing / updating someone else's pages.)

First Opening - Takes 1/5th the time that MX 2004 takes to load, I still can't get over how fast it is in comparison.

Selectable doctypes on create - About time

Code View Extras - Lots of nifty little things that I'll probably never use but still, useful to have.

Server intergration - Hasn't changed much but has been cleaned up a lot, doesn't force you to add sites if you want to test certain things, you can run local sites now from within dreamweaver.

It just generally feels a sh*t load more complete now, tons of additional preferences and really really advanced changes that I haven't even scratched the surface of!

I'm just happy about the huge speed improvements :D

Wish I knew how to use Dreamweaver....

Is it easy to pick up? I always did old school, hand coded websites and stopped a few years back and just use FrontPage if I want to whip something up real quick. Never used CSS or anything like that at all.
