I would reboot and pray.

That's step 1.

If it doesn't boot you need to:

- Contact the manufacturer and order a replacement BIOS, or it may be soldered to the board in which case send it off for repairs.

- Find someone with a similar laptop, check that both have removable BIOS chips and they're physically compatible, do a hot swap bios flash of your chip (google).

In addition to this, reflect on why you're updating BIOS. Of all the things in your machine that can be updated, BIOS is the one you don't want to screw with unless you're trying to fix a specific problem. It's better left alone, unless you're having issues.

Get a job, stop smoking pot, and form a better relationship with your parents.

Jesus Christ, here this will fix all of your issues...

  1. flip fully charged laptop over
  2. retrieve a sharp metallic object
  3. begin savagely stabbing battery pack while inserted into laptop
  4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 until battery pack goes up in flames and burns you and laptop...

it's too bad he has access to another computer isn't it. if that 30% charge went to zero, we'd all be happier.
