Responsible for the organization and filing of all past monthly quarter records to verify that items had been received.

That is the sentence in question.

"monthly quarters" clearly makes no sense in that sentence. Why not just write it as

Responsible for the organization and filing of receipts

it sounds fine. maybe write "monthly-quarter" or "monthly/quarter" to clarify it, although it already makes sense the way its written.

who's questioning it, MS word?

I'm just going to write it as:

Responsible for the organization and filing of all past quarter records to verify that items had been received.

Anyone going to disagree with that now?

But then it wouldn't be a quarter. You'd have to break it into 4 parts!

You could call them weeks!

Yes . . keep it simple. Resumes are boring to read.

I would put it:

Responsible for the organization of quartering monthly filed records to recieve the quartered record.

I would spell "receive" correctly.

Just write "Responsibilities: Takin' Care of Business" for every job you have ever had. Then put a picture of a bikini girl at the top and a quote from a heavy-metal power ballad at the bottom. That should do it.
