OMG! WTF! My iPod Mini already acting up!

OMG! I was working out and suddenly my music stops! I look at my iPod Mini and it says "Connect your iPod to the blah balh" :| The thing is, I put it on charge this morning and left it there till I hit the gym :| Something similar happened a few days ago and I thought I hadn't charged it but WTF? Anyone had this happen to them or is it just my iPod mini?

By the way, I have been using my mini since it came out as I preordered it last december and got mine from the first shipment of minis 🙁
