Alright, check this:

Last week, my wireless card dies, its an extreme G, 108 mbps

I go to the store to get another, but they are really expensive, I ask the guy if I can buy the card, and if its not fast enough (I told him I had a G) I can bring it back. He said sure no problem as long as its not broke in half. He quickly brings me to the cash, no hesitation.

the thing has NO signal at ALL hardly, cant go half as far of what I could go before, So i bring it back tonight.

I tell him its wasnt fast enough. He goes and sees his manager, comes back saying i have to pay a 20% charge because it wasnt broke. I argue for about 10 minutes telling him he told me personally last week that he could change it! On top of that my friend was there, I told him I was going to call him, but he insisted that he said "you can bring it back if its BROKE, I never said nothing about if its not fast enough"

Paid 109 for it, got 85 or something back.

FVCKING BASTARDS. WTF. Can I do anything about that? Im fvcking pissed off!!

This is when you tell them to give you a full refund or you will dispute the charge with your cc company and they won't get a dime. 🙂

Isnt there a fvcking law against this? I swear if it would have been another day I could have bitched and bitched until I got what I wanted. But I was happy tonight. Not any more when I think about it.

A law against restocking fees? Doubtful.

That and why did you even mention that it wasn't fast enough?

Most places you don't need a excuse and just screw yourself giving one.

then break it first before u return it

😀😀

I hope you're not telling him to put it in a microwave for a couple of seconds, are you?

That woudl ahve been a great FVCKING IDEA. BUNCH OF BASTARDS.

Yes I am sure thats what HE said. maybe HE didnt understand right.

There was nothing about restocking fees on the receipt

heh well DUH! It was dumb of you to believe them. they have policy's in place that say there is a 20% restocking fee.

No it is not against the law at all. I also do not think the CC company will back you on this either. They have signs all over the place and i bet it is on the reciept you have.

Not much you can do about it. You MIGHT get the money back (on a gift card anyway) if you complain loudly at the store. IF that does not work write and call the corp office. But i doubt you will get anywhere.

Just fire bomb the store and teach them a lesson 😀

But I have a "witness" one of my friends was with me, he heard it too.

so? that won't change anything but maybe get that guy fired. which he should.

I am always surprised when people believe sale's people on something that is AGAINST store policy. they believe them and get mad when the store says no.

Oh yeah, they will definitly believe your "friend" wouldn't lie.

i woulda snapped it in half in front of his face and said here, it's broken; now take it back biatch! 😉

on a more serious note, i would have simply told him it wouldn't work properly whe bringing it back to the store, implying that the card was broken
