How about Warehouse 13? Another very cheesy 'sci-fi' type of show that's kind of watchable...but only barely.

The show was about a group of former rebels who now operated a smuggling operation on a space ship. "You can't take the sky from me" is absolutely related to that. Cheesy, sure, but not random nonsense.

Wow, I am only understanding the significance of that line now that you are pointing it out to me. Of course, understanding every little thing isn't requisite to enjoyment of the series.

I was thinking that same thing.

Also, the reavers weren't retards, they were just insanely aggressive.

FOX has a tendency to destroy great television shows while pushing crap that makes everyone stupid, which causes them to get more ratings. or something. basically FOX sucks. i don't know how fringe has made it this long.

I gave up on that show after a couple of episodes. I just couldn't like it, even though I wanted to.

P.S. The reevers kind of confused me too, so that it wasn't a completely unique POV that other poster had when he questioned their existence, as I did too. Stupid zombies that can fly spaceships? I accepted it for the sake of the plot, but it seemed like a plot hole.

Reavers weren't zombies or zombie-like, they were humans with no moral limits. They were completely sadistic and hungered only for maximum pleasure regardless of cost.

They weren't stupid or brainless, just consumed by fleshly lust. Which made them ultra violent.
Just as real life serial killers and mass murders aren't brainless zombies, neither were the reavers. They were just completely uninhibited, like drugged up pirates sailing the seas.

watch Serenity (the movie) to fully understand the reevers and how they got to be that way
That is the o_O about it. They watched the movie, and were still confused about them. Hell, the series was speculation that they saw the edge of space, stared out into the nothingness, and lost it. The correct explanation was only in the movie. To amend the statement - rewatch it.

Are you 14?

Don't tell me that you didn't like the episode with the weight lifter's belt where Myka dressed up in the totally unnecessary tight leather outfit.

I sure did!

Plus, that same episode had Simon (doctor) and Kaylee (mechanic) from Firefly in it.

Yeah, I agree the orb storyline was ridiculous, but the characters were well written and acted. I rewatched Brisco this year and this time around the orb and Bly arc didnt bother me. That would have been better as a two or three episode arc, but carrying through the whole season was a bit much.

I definitely enjoyed the characters. It was something small, but I always liked how Bowler said, "Briiiiscooo!" :p

The airings ruined it. Since people told me how great the show was, I couldn't care less about their story with the bar fight and rescue.

I then watched it some time later by episode number, and Serenity would have gotten me hooked from the beginning.

Firefly
Terminator*
Brisco County Jr
Wonderfalls
Undeclared
Mantis
Harsh Realm
Profit
The Ben Stiller Show
Lonestar
Andy Richter Controls the Universe
Space: Above and beyond
Freaky Links
The Tick

Its kinda what Fox does. Green light great shows, then change their schedule week to week. No one knows when its on and the ratings drop, then they cancel it. Or they just schedule it against some massive hit on another network and leave it there and no one watches it. Its hard to get behind any shows on Fox while they are on the air. If they are not instant hits they are killed quick. They even have FX channel, which gets lower ratings because its cable, which would be a good place for good on the bubble shows, but they dont move them over. I dont watch anything on Fox, except Fringe, until its released on disc.

*technically more than one season

I thought Traffic Light was a great show that they killed too soon too!

Because Arrested Development got three seasons while everything else on that list got one or less?

Yeah, I was going with one season or less. Terminator was the only exception, because it had 12 or so episodes to start. Ben Stiller Show started on MTV, but only had one season on Fox.
