I liked Serenity more than the shot itself. Thank the $30 million, or so, budget?

Just rerelease and tell them it is by the director of The Avengers, instant hit.

I had never heard of Firefly until someone here mentioned it a year or so ago. Horribly cheesy show...but fun to watch.
I liked how it was ended in Serenity. (well, except for the "killing two of the crew" part)

edit: changed "most" to "two" for accuracy

Just in case...

Only two of them died. The priest guy and Wash. The reason they killed Wash was to make you be more willing to accept that the crew might actually die in the upcoming scuffle.

I've only heard good things about the Firefly series. Admittedly I ended up watching Serenity first (someone wanted me to watch it, they thought it was the best movie ever)... my god, that's a bad movie.

Bring back Firefly and all the good shows, like Deep Space Nine. SG-1 needs a revival too, but please, less of the 'racing to find a cure for a disease we unearthed on a new planet.' episodes.

Actually, that goes for all these series, considering that
Firefly's Reavers were kind of a disease storyline, even though it was manmade
.

Whedon said it was a series of unfortunate events that shelved Firefly, for example Fox playing the episodes out of order and not allowing the pilot to be the actual first episode. Blame the network execs for fcking it up. Also, it could be revived in the future now that Whedon has the starpower and money to do w/e the fck he wants, and Firefly was his baby.

I can understand thinking the movie was not that good if you hadn't seen Firefly first, but in context it was a good movie... :'(

Its kinda what Fox does. Green light great shows, then change their schedule week to week. No one knows when its on and the ratings drop, then they cancel it. Or they just schedule it against some massive hit on another network and leave it there and no one watches it. Its hard to get behind any shows on Fox while they are on the air. If they are not instant hits they are killed quick. They even have FX channel, which gets lower ratings because its cable, which would be a good place for good on the bubble shows, but they dont move them over. I dont watch anything on Fox, except Fringe, until its released on disc.

*technically more than one season

I loved Serenity. Thought it was a very fresh take on humans in space.

Hated Firefly, but I hate almost every multiple season show (even if they never get that far), including popular ones like Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead (liked first season, but now... eh, boring).

Wasnt Christina Hendricks in a few episodes?

I liked the episodes with her in them.

Brisco County Jr

This show failed because the story became utterly ridiculous. I enjoyed it for about 80% of the show until it just got crazy. By crazy, I mean how the latest Indiana Jones film (which we shall nary speak a word of after this) went from decent... salvageable... fucking aliens!?

Brisco decided to take it to the
the evil outlaw is actually a goddamn time traveler from the future looking to take over the planet!?
