Wouldn't it be "vespian masters?". Apian is bees, although it sounds like he'd be afraid of bees too, so maybe a few hundred bee stings could help out.

I think it may be beneficial for him to get some hornet stings as well.

And in the interest of complete healing, perhaps we should invite other stinging creatures to participate. We can also use mosquitos, yellow jackets, scorpions and fire ants. If he lives he'll thank us later.
