Sounds like that's already been taken care of, what we need here is the next move. If that thing has been buzzing around in a bag full of dust for a few hours it's going to be pissed. I'd suggest moving. Just pack up a few things and bolt to a different state without leaving a forwarding address. Let the next renters deal with it.

This advice has been awful so far. The only real solution would be to take the wasp out of the vacuum bag and allow it to sting you repeatedly until you develop a tolerance for the venom. Only then will you be free from the shackles of your apian masters.

Wouldn't it be "vespian masters?". Apian is bees, although it sounds like he'd be afraid of bees too, so maybe a few hundred bee stings could help out.

Obviously bees are behind all of this business. The wasps are just their enforcers. :p

I think it may be beneficial for him to get some hornet stings as well.

And in the interest of complete healing, perhaps we should invite other stinging creatures to participate. We can also use mosquitos, yellow jackets, scorpions and fire ants. If he lives he'll thank us later.

Indeed. He might as well be immune to West Nile Virus too!

OMG OMG OMG...

I have to agree... grow a set. If it's an umbrella wasp the insect eats mosquitos, so it is your friend. Set it free...open a window and let it out of your house. If it's a wood wasp don't mess with it, just spray the damn thing.

Either way, smack yourself back into reality.
