OMG! They're making a prequel to DUMB and DUMBER!

Eugene Levy (American Pie dad/Waiting for Guffman/Best in Show) is going to play the principal.

Not a lot of info about it yet, but the premise sounds funny. Set back in the 70s when Harry met Lloyd in high school where they cross paths with a mean principal and a bunch of other outcasts much like themselves.
 
Will it be the same without original Harry and Lloyd though? I hope they don't screw it up, cause the dumn and Dumber has got to be the funniest movie I've ever seen, everything about it is hillarious. Carey, and Daniels ruled that movie!

"I'm a sixteen-year-old boy who lives in Atlanta, and I was recently an extra in the movie. I was in a scene where Lloyd and Harry miss their school bus and it drives past them, full of kids(including me). I got to watch a couple scenes being filmed, and I just have to say that the guy playing Harry(who is in fact Eric Christian Olsen from "Not Another Teen Movie") is very good. He has all of Jeff Daniels mannerisms down and is very funny to watch. The guy who plays Jim Carrey is an unknown actor, but he resembles Carrey so much that it's FREAKY. The movie is being filmed at my school, and Eugene Levy(the dad from "American Pie") was there the other day visiting with us. He plays the principle of the school in the movie. Overall, it looks like it will be a very funny movie. "

And it's not even a Farrelly Bros production (like the original!:|:|)

Atleast Jim Carey's upcoming movie, Bruce Almighty, looks good...
 
Most of Carrey's movies are funny due to his insane improv. Most directors learn by the first day to just follow the script loosely and let Carrey work his magic. Without him in this movie, I don't think it will be half as funny as the original. I also think this is why the trailers have not revealed anything about the actors or the lack of Jim Carrey.
