I was flipping channels and realized that they show MacGyver on TVLand at midnight! Am I the only person who liked this show growing up?

You forgot the chewing gun and Swiss Army Knife 😀

That guy is cool. He can make anything with junk laying around. Those shows are advertistments for Swiss Army Knives.

In a way yes, but all of us who had to make do w/ what materials is available most likely owe Mac a drink 😀

Hehe I remember Captain Carter saying to Col. O'Neil about jury rigging something: "Maybe we could MacGyver it..." 😉

That's no joke, I carried one for several years because of that show 🙂 I have since graduated to the almighty Leatherman.

I carry one of each, a SAK in my jacket and a LM on my keychain 😀

That show was cool. Unfortunately, some of his little tricks would never work - I had this science teacher in highschool who would watch shows like that (said he did it at the movies, too) and point out why the stuff would never work. I'm surprised he was smacked upside the head for that. Ah, waitaminute. Considering how he acted in class sometimes, maybe he was...😛

That was a cool show...he always knew how to make items that could help him from the weirdest things...🙂

I saw an interview once where RDA said that almost all of the things he did were plausable, minus one item or so just so people watching couldn't duplicate what he did, saves money on lawsuits 🙂

Bond...James Bond 😀

Bonds was a fraud. He had all those fancy gadgets, on the other hand MacGyver just had a pocket knife and chewing gum. One of my fav all time shows next to the A-Team.

This thread is a farce, you are all posers! All these comments on MacGuyvering things and not ONE mention of duct tape! Shame on you 😉

I saw that Stargate episode the other day where they mentions "macguyvering" something. I chuckled. I hoped RDA would have made a look, but nothing. Oh, well...

I'm glad I found this post, I love that show and had no idea it was on. Love that theme song to. They don't write them like they used to. Macguyver, Knight Rider, X Files...now we get pop music off the radio.
