Classy,

Ummmm, groups like the ACLU support these kinds of rights. You don't see many conservatives in the ACLU, silly wabbit.

BTW, I'm no fan of the KKK, but if they weren't allowed to open their big, stupid mouths because of free speech, people would never know just how moronic that group is.

<< on the other hand the kkk is mostly silent and it would be pretty dumb to constantly speak out against a silent group. of course i use the word silent in a relative sense. >>

This is not true. They are still spreading their message loud and clear. One huge difference however: nobody is paying attention to their crap.

<< This country is so screwed up now. We live in a country where minorities have more rights then regular white(German,Polish, etc) people. Mainly African Americans >>

Well, why don't you go complain to the next black president we have and see what comes of it?

Classy: as much as I am against the KKK, they do have the right to do litter pickup and have thier group's name on a sign. The government cannot be selective as to what groups can do what. Otherwise there would still be segregation in schools. :)

Laws work both ways.

...and quit trolling

Are they getting there own highway or are they just cleaning it up? I agree that the KKK should never get there own freakin Highway. And I agree that the KKK is a terrible group of people. Bust I also agree that we should all have Freedom Of Speech.

So when Classy does it he's standing behind his beliefs, but if anyone out of the remaining 99.998% of us does the same thing we're being closed-minded bastards?

Sorry, I don't buy that.

BrotherMan,

I totally admire standing up for what you believe in, if your opinion or belief is an INFORMED one. Otherwise, people will just begin to ignore you. The KKK stands up for what they believe in as well, too bad they are a bunch of flaming idiots. Most people know this, hence most people hate them.

If Classy wants to be taken seriously, he cannot just make up stories about how the Republicans are all excited about the KKK cleaning up a highway.

balt, i am no big politics buff and thus dont deserve to mention anthying about what republicans got to do with it. just that i have seen classy posting in other threads on AA and other civil rights agendas. tru, kkk fools surely stick to their firm idiocy to get ignored...

viper, my comment was about amdemall stating a oversimplified version of racial picture, not what you had to say about republicans. no hard feelings :)

Most Republicans believe in what the south was fighting for. Last time I checked the south believed in slavery. They even had their own flag which most Southern Republicans believe should still be allowed to fly. So when the KKK is cleaning that highway and spewing their racial hatred and flying that no good lousy Confederate flag I wonder if any republicans will speak out against them. The only political party that I have seen at an anti-racial rally is Democrats. Now you can call them whatever you want, but they always seem to speak out against this stuff. The republican stance is, what racial problem, we have no racial problems, just look at John Ashcroft and Jesse Helms fine voting records. Yea right.

I've never read anything that suggest Republicans support slavery, do you have a link?

Well obviously you have never read quotes from Trent Lott, Jesse Helms, and John Ashcroft. All three of these b@stards did interviews for a very well known racial magazine called Southern Partisan. Do your homework son.

I don't consider them to be the embodiment of the Republican party. I'm pretty sure you'll find racists fairly equally distributed between the Repubs and Dems.

Based on that comment, I now firmly believe you are a total idiot.

You don't even LIVE in the South. So quit pretending everyone here totes a shotgun and confederate flag. Is there racism? Yes. But don't pretend there aren't just as many racist blacks as whites, and don't pretend it only exists in the South. As for the slavery and Republican comment, they are just too friggin stupid to even reply to.

What nut has been filling your messed up head with such stupid propaganda?

This is the last post I am making, so don't even bother replying. You obviously don't know what the hell you are talking about, New Jersey guy. I assure you any further posts by you will be completely ignored by me. If there is anyone displaying racist tendencies in this thread, it is SURELY you.

as nutty as classy is, what i think he's trying to say is that the republican platform is much much closer to the kkk's then you'd like to think. Republicans really have to expell the ultra conservative wing of their party.

Don't forget, just because the republicans have an ultraconservative member, doesn't mean they all share that member's views, nor does it mmean that the democrats do not have ultra liberal members of thier own.

Let me show you Balt what makes me angry. Lets use our president. Now put aside your emotions for a minute and put yourself in the shoes of a minority. When Bush was governor and the Byrd incident happened he said absolutely nothing. No statements to the press no condolences to the family, nothing. But today a white kid goes to school and shoots up the place and he's making condolences and stands against this kind of behavior. What you couldn't do the same 2 years earlier. I mean after all he was only the GOVERNOR of the state. I keep hearing all these "equality" speeches but when it comes time for someone from the Republican party, anyone to stand speak out strongly against racial hate groups they are no where to be found. They'll chase down Clinton and attack the Farrakhan's of the world, but don't have the balls to kick members out of their party like David Duke or Pat Buchanan, they waited till they left on their own. Instead they do as they always do, look the other way and claim there is no issues. They take the stand you just took its always the other people. You are a good party member just run away and blame all racial stuff on the people who have live through it. And by the way I spent a half year in the deepest part of the south, Biloxi, Miss. And there were some of the nicest people I have ever met. And I talking about white folks. And they were even nice enough to kindly let me know where not to go to be "safe". There are some great people in the south.

The kkk getting it's name on any sign is a shame. Talk about a group with no redeeming qualities. I'm not sure where the republicans are at fault. Jesse might just have enough kids to clean up quite a stretch of highway, though........

That would make sense if the platform of the party did not reflect the extreme portions views.
