i got a 3048 score in 3dmark2k1.
so i checked my mem, and set it to the 'optimal' that i found on amdmb.com forums (cas2, 4bank, 1T, etc), and reran it.
got a 3068. all default settings.
i have a 1.4 tbird with a radeon 32ddr and shuttle AK31.
the clock and bus are at the default. but this should be at least in the 5k's from the setups i saw from madonion.
what is wrong ?
i have all the newest driver that i know about.
 
Are you certain you have all the optimal settings in your BIOS?

How are your games performing? Try alternative Radeon drivers?

I think you must be getting 3dmark 2k scores confused with 2k1 scores. I would really like to see a system with a standard radeon 32 meg ddr vid card that gets over 5000 in 2k1. I am running a GeForce 2 GTS 32 meg in a similar tbird 1400 system and get up to 3880 in 3dmark 2k1. highest score i saw for a 1400 tbird with an radeon 32 meg ddr card was 4800 and i find that score to be very suspect.
 
3DMark2000 scores are always higher than 2001 scores, same system. Check out madonion.com to compare what people with similar procs/video cards get.

btw, Geforce3's usually get around 5500-9000 with low end scores due to 1Ghz-1.3Ghz procs.
 
Yeah, I just checked it out. Mine's actually better than the average ATI Radeon DDR. With mine at 100%, the average Radeon DDR was 96%.
 
Your score sounds right with a Radeon 32 DDR. When I used the Radeon 32 DDR I got a similar score to you. Upgraded to a Radeon 8500 and now gets 7639 in 3dmark 2k1.
 
k, i got a 3434. more tweaking to come.

the 5000 was to high. there was one just over 5k, their were over 2 pages worth from 4-5k though. although i didnt look at the res of all of them, there was a 4800 somethin @ 10x7 res.
