The Brick breaker game you've always wanted wrapped in gold foil, sealed with a kiss by Angelina.

Finally got around to playing it after buying so many games on Steam. 🙄

This game is phenomenal at 25x16, LIKE freaky good looking. Runs 60fps with 8xaa 16xaf on my lowly 4870 as well. Just fantastic game-play w/ familiar yet original seeming bosses.

Amazing art direction.

Everything just looks right.

Need I mention addicting bonus modes?

Brings me back to the days of Bap! included with windows 3.1 on my first Pentium 75mhz.

If any of you are confused about the game settings, you have to manually edit the .parameter file for 25x16, resolution selector only goes up to blurry 19x12 ^_^

Probably a console port, but I admit, I too wanted to learn a bit more about the game concerned here. Do you think you could provide us with the game's title, tp4tissue?

OMG THIS GAME IS AWESOME!

Been playing it for like 30 minutes non-stop...well, just to post this. If you like bricky games, this is THE one to get!

Thanks OP for the recommendation!!!

Shatter, I see that it was in the thread's title after all.

Well, I found game-play videos of the PC version on YouTube, here's one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ffFiiUPc3Q

It looks alright I guess, kinda like Arkanoid on steroids with all sorts of effects, and it plays horizontally instead of vertically (when compared to Arkanoid I mean). I know I would like the game if I bought it, but only for a time, I would perhaps "complete" it if there's anything specific to accomplish such as a set number of missions, or a "campaign" since they say on that GameSpot review that there are bosses (I haven't read the entire review yet).

Anyway, I might give it a try eventually.

I thought it was part of the Steam hidden sale so I had it sitting in my cart while I browsed more games. Turned out it was a daily deal and it expired before I went to checkout so I didn't get to pick it up for $2.50. Probably the only sale I missed that I actually wanted.

IT PLAYS SIDEWAYS AND CIRCULAR AND REGULAR.....

yarb yarb yarb yarb 😀

Indeed, indeed, I'll take a look at it a bit more on the web, and perhaps buy it this week-end, or next week, I'll see, seems interesting.

Even better than dxball?

Shatter has anti-aliasing and runs up to 25x16. Visually, it's DX-ball on crack.

In terms of game-play, the concept is tried and true. It would be difficult to gauge what's better or worse.

I suppose the important part is that NONE of the power-ups are "game-breaking."

The play system is well balanced.

I hope they release a level editor, but i doubt it. 🙁

Most wonderfully addictive game I've played in years. Heck, I would've spent $10 for it (got it during the Steam holiday sale).

Fuck I keep forgetting to look this game up. I wish your title was better, like Shatter (Brick Breaker Remake) or something. I keep thinking Shatter is some sort of horror game.
