LOL... we used to take screen shot of the actual screen, make it the desktop wallpaper and then put some actual icons back to where they were and hide the rest. You'll see them scratching their heads trying to figure out why some shortcuts work and others don't.

I like to go to something like meatspin and save the page on the desktop and rename to the browser, delete the old browser shortcut, then copy the new shortcut to the shortcut in the start menu. That way everytime you click the browser it takes you to meatspin.

Other twists to the desktop screenshot:
If you can install a rotating wallpaper changer, take screenshots with different webpages and such and have it rotate through the real wall paper, and the other ones. They'll think they have spyware :)

back in school days, we took all the mouseballs out of workstations for eng students (CSC and ENG don't like each other too much). Put them in an envelop and left it in the room. Posted a ransom note saying they have to post a sign saying "We have no balls" before we give them back. We checked 2 weeks later, the mouseballs were still in the envelope...

edited to add clarity plus fix some grammar.

hahahaha, i just did it on my coworker. He went to the bathroom, so I went over there and put a piece of scotch tape under his mouse. He came back and all I could hear was his mouse moving rapidly back and forth across his desk. Then I heard him clicking the mouse buttons furiously and then he unplugged the mouse and plugged it back in.

Hahahhaa, good laugh.

aint it great???

How do I do that wallpaper trick on my coworker? I don't know how to take a snapshop of the desktop.

First thing you do, is minimize any programs that are open. Then press print screen. Go to Start --> Run --> mspaint. CTRL+V into MSpaint, file, save. Open it in IE or whatever program you want, right click, set as wallpaper. From there, right click somewhere empty on the desktop, Arrange Icons By, and uncheck "show desktop icons". As a last step, drag the start bar so that only a sliver is showing at the bottom of the screen, so when they press the start button, nothing happens. :D

Hahhaa, thanks. Im gonna get him when he goes to the bathroom again.:laugh:

I like pulling an ole "host" file trick..

Get on someone's machine.. lets say for example.. you know this particular person goes to Myspace, every day..

Edit the hosts file, and point myspace.com to some other ip address (the more nsfw, the better)..

clear the dns resolver cache..

Myspace will never be the same

lol jlbenedict... host file changes are a blast! :D

especially if you have control of AD. ;)

The person figured it out, had a good laugh, and is now looking to get back at the 2 that did this.

I like to smash their computers with a hammer. Its hilarious when they return and the internals of the PC are sprawled all over the place.

Ok, maybe I went a bit too far.

I like to drag the bar to the right side of the screen and adjust the monitor so it wont even show up ;)

There are 75 computers in the computer lab. All of them have optical mice. I have a roll of scotch tape in my backpack. The people next to me are leaving.... hmmmmm
