I oredered a refurbished power supply from newegg on saturday and it was weird because my order wasent shipped till late
today, I was like this sux but then I realized they used 2 day fedex because my order was sent late!

I love newegg!

if only FedEx were as good as Newegg...my order from Newegg arrived at my local FedEx facility at 8am this morning...the tracking info for the package says it has been sitting at the FedEx all day, because it wasn't "scheduled" to be delivered until tomorrow...those slackers!!!

Lucky you; the "local" fedex location here is about 25 miles away. 😱
 
FedEx has done the same to me... hold on to a package until the scheduled delivery date no matter how close they are to your house.
 
I had a 31 lb compaq deskpro shipped to me from Kentucky to Michigan. I paid for UPS Ground, and that's what I got. UPS picked up the package at 4:00pm Monday and I had the package in my hands 25 hours later. THAT'S AWESOME!!! FedEX has NEVER been that quick!

UPS is decent but you have to pay all those extra fees:

$5 - No walking on package fee
$3.50 - Please don't piss on my package fee
$12 - I want my package delivered in one piece fee
$6 - Please don't stack a 150 lb package on top of my 2 lb package fee



FedEx w/NewEgg = Fast and reliable
 
I am always AMAZED at how quickly I get my Newegg gear! It's more often than not that I'll order something on Thursday of Friday and have the Fedex guy ringing my doorbell on Monday morning. All of this happening from Newegg in CA to my doorstep in FL....zowie!

one thing i hate about using UPS from these places is that they require a signature always. Im usualy not home all day so it goes like this.

they try to deliver 1 time. im not home
I call and tell em to hold it.
they try to deliver again. im not home.
wait another day for em to take it off the truck.

3 days after the first delivery attempt i have to drive 20 minutes to the UPS place and pick it up.

I wont even buy from online places that use UPS, anymore.

agreed, this is what ups did to my tyan mp D:
fortunately, it still worked. Fedex (saver) delivered my case from cali on the same day (mobo was sent fedex 2day) and it looked like it hadnt even been handled.
 
ouch, that's criminal.

That's how every package shipped by UPS comes, only I don't need to sign. They just leave it on my doorstep like that. I've had many bad expierences.

One time, after ordering a Radeon 8500 from Gateway who uses UPS, I hear a knock on my door. I come out and see two boxes: One being the retail box for the 8500, the other being an empty, crushed box that the 8500 was shipped in.

Empty mind you...no packing made it. Luckily the 8500 was fine.
 
From all the places that I've ordered from newegg has been the best. Reasonable prices and they have everything i want.

That kinda happened to me...except that my order rode the frickin truck all day before they took it back! :|
What's worse is that normally if I'm home in the daytime, I'm asleep! I stayed home and awake all day for nothing!
 
I may have a nice Fedex driver or just got lucky but my Fedex guy dropped off my case from Newegg 1 day early. But I do know the guy so maybe he hooked me up. 🙂
