Unfortunately you have put together an apples to oranges comparison. No conclusions should be drawn from your report because of the vast disparity in the two systems. So, lots of heat on both sides and no conclusions.

I just took out 256 mb ram from my athlon system and low and behold, it was alot stuttery and slower than b4. So it must be the ram. Too bad my athlon doesn't have a geforce 3, so i can really test which cpu is faster. Anyways, i can determine that the williamettes really suck!!! I can tell that my athlon is just as fast! Although the p4 can dish more fps when already smooth and really playable. I also determined that jedi knight 2 is not the greatest benchmark, being really cpu limited of a game, more so than rtcw. Thanks for the help and special thanks for the guys that said it was the lack of ram in winxp.

did that make sense to anyone?

how can you determine that the willamette sucks if it can "dish more fps"?

P4 sucks just because sb. does not like it. If the banchmark shows the weakness of P4, they will wave the banchmark numbers everywhere. If the banchmark shows P4 is better, they will say banchmark is not a real-world, or simply say P4 still sucks!
