Hey, tweak, guess what? Just about every piece of paperwork I do in law enforcement work asks for race, ethnicity, eye color, hair color and <gasp!> even SKIN COLOR! Does that make every police report I do "racist" because I might mark the complexion block with one of the following choices? Am I being racist in my description? Or is it just that, hey, unlike dogs, we see in color and sometimes, we have to use obvious physical traits as descriptors? If she had a big nose and he called her a "big ass nosed lady", would you be saying anything? Think not....
I include skin color all the time when I'm point people out
"yeah, he's the black dude over there"
I do not say
"My friend Rick is coming over, he is black"
see the difference?
