This year was a bad year for mowing grass. There was a lot of rain and I had to cut my parent's lawn every week. Thank goodness I live in a condo so I didn't have 2 lawns to mow. :(

Somewhere along the way I picked up the notion that suburban households are grass-farmers...

Time and energy invested into appearance for sake of continuity.

I will not submit.

I mow and edge. That's as far as I go. I like the idea of creating a front yard scape out of indigenous plants and letting it go as wild as possible. A little reclamation of prairie in defiance of the tenderly manicured grass plots that surround me...

Maybe next year....

During Spring and early Summer we had so much rain (record amounts), I was cutting my grass twice a week. Now it hasn't rained in over a month and the grass barely grows. I love it but my lawn doesn't. Mine and most of my neighbor's lawns look like sh!t. I water it ever now and then but no way I am going to watch my water bill skyrocket by doing it every day or every other day.

Bastard. This is about the time of year we Soviet Canuckistans give up on the lawn and break out the snow shovels.

LOL. That is why I have no plans on moving North again. I used to live in Wisconsin but now I'm in the South.
