Less than 100 feet from where a hijacked airplane slammed into the Pentagon Muslims have a place they pray at. This is not a block or even 2 from where those dirty Islam loving Muslims attacked the pentagon, but less than 100feet.

... and that's perfectly fine, that's your perspective. Others have a different perspective. I'm somewhere in the middle. My logical brain tells me they have every right to be there just like any other group in America. My gut says it just doesn't feel right, to have a mosque likely funded by the very people that brought down the towers next to ground zero. My logical side generally prevails, so my logical conclusion is that there is no choice but to let them build it there, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

That's what's wrong with politics and probably the country as a whole though. Everyone has to vilify/demonize/ridicule any point of view they don't agree with, like it's all a zero sum game.

Its fucking amazing to me that the left seems to be so tolerant of Radical Islam, but if a boy scout troop wants to use a public building for their meetings the left will 100's of thousands of $$$ is lawsuits to try to prevent it on the grounds their beliefs don't allow gays to join. I could respect your position as a 'human' in this country if your positions were even remotely consistent. The 'human' left in this country routinely disrespects chrisitians in this country for stuff MUCH less offensive than wanting to building a mosque near ground zero. Allowing a religious building on private land is exactly equivalent to allowing homophobic organizations to use government facilities. Your logic is, as usual, impeccable.

Just curious as to why you refer to the boy scouts as homophobic but not Islam? Lets continue this game:

This particular mosque is being proposed by a leader who believes that the U.S. was an accessory to 9/11, Osama was a product of the USA, and Hamas is not a terrorist organization. That strikes me as fairly radical.

Ok, lets hold them accountable. Obama is President. What has he done? He went over there and bowed to them. I believe the leader of the proposed Manhattan mosque has indicated they will accept money from Iran and Saudi Arabia to help build it. Lets hold them accountable, what should Obama do?
