I would have gotten an NAD for that price.

dunno about that...for the price I payed, I am sure I could not have gotten a NAD reciever. Anyways, If I was going to spend that much I would opt for Rotel.

Yeah, a Rotel would have bested a NAD at that price.

Whatever you paid, enjoy it as if you paid full price! I could have gotten a Rotel for whatever it is you paid, but still, enjoy it.

You didn't learn anything from Ramadan did you? Do you know how many die everyday because they don't have food to eat? Do you know how many mothers can't feed their babies milk, because the mothers can't produce milk due to starvation? Did you know breakfast and dinner are a luxury in some parts of the world? Can you keep count of how many people die due to lack of proper medical care?

Yet, as soon as Ramadan is over, all you can think of is your incessent desire to consume, and afford every luxury money can buy.

shut up

Honestly, I doubt you are any different from what you preach against.

moi??

Isn't Ramadan supposed to be a solemn holiday? 😕
That's what I thought....I may just be in ignorant Okie, but I thought Ramadan was about sacrifice and self denial...sort of like what the Catholics do during Lent.

it is, but when it is over...we are allowed to celabrate and give gifts.

So much for the denial thing. I guess you aren't going to get much sympathy here, even from those not practicing your religion.

Basically no food while the sun is out for a month. Fasting to cleanse your body and spirit.

Nice. I notice they still aren't putting an analog input on their recievers though. Hope you don't have a turntable you want to hook up to it.

I have an AVR 500 which is a few years older than this unit. Hopefully, Harmon Kardon has fixed some of their quality issues with their newer recievers.

Would you turn it down?

Dude, you're getting the receiver for Eid not for Ramadan!

Eid is like Easter, a time for celebration after lent.

you got a deal on that receiver, what did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I am looking @ a new h/k or a Denon as we speak.

(I have an h/k now, and may replace with one too) 😀
